JOB DESCRIPTION
The Brevard Police Testing Center recruits, screens, tests and investigates applicants for law enforcement training and employment consideration by 14 law enforcement agencies in Brevard County, FL. BPTC is located at the Criminal Justice Center, on the Melbourne Campus of Brevard Community College.
The Brevard Police Testing Center also provides assistance to federal, military, and out-of-state law enforcement officers seeking to become certified as a law enforcement officer in the State of Florida.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- be a U.S. citizen
- be at least 19 years of age
- possess a High School diploma or GED
- possess a valid driver's license
- vision requirement determined by hiring agency
SELECTION PROCESS
- written entrance exam
- oral interview
- polygraph test
- drug screening test
- background investigation
- medical examination
- psychological test
