JOB DESCRIPTION
The City of Winchester is accepting applications for full time Police Officer to establish an eligibility list.
Applicants must have: a valid driver's license, safe driving record, no criminal history; high school diploma or the equivalent, college preferred; be age 21 or older; excellent physical condition, be a non-tobacco user; accepts responsibility and have high ethical standards; live or be willing to move within a 50 mile radius of Winchester; be a U.S. citizen.
The next test is at 8:00 a.m. on SATURDAY AUGUST 2, 2008 at the Timbrook Public Safety Center, 3rd Floor Community Room, 231 E. Piccadilly St., Winchester, VA. You must register for the test in advance by calling (540)667-1815 ext. 1454. Salary: $32,815. Possible sign-on bonuses available for those applicants with previous experience, education, eligible law enforcement certifications, and/or Va. certified officers.
