JOB DESCRIPTION
Municipal police officer with full service, community-oriented police department. Conducts law enforcement and peacekeeping activities. Establishes strong involvement with community, using problem solving to address issues of concern. Training provided; normal work hours during training are M-F, 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Training scheduling may include evenings, weekends and holidays on an as-needed basis. Once trained, normal work hours and days rotate, based on four 10 � hour days. Regular scheduling may include evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- be a U.S. citizen
- possess a valid driver's license
- be at least 21 years of age
- possess a high school diploma or GED
- possess 20/20 corrected vision
SELECTION PROCESS
- written entrance exam
- oral interview
- polygraph test
- drug screening test
- background investigation
- medical examination
- physical agility test
- psychological test
