JOB DESCRIPTION
Police Department - Patrol Division

FULL-TIME POLICE Accepting applications in order to establish an eligibility list and to fill existing vacancies. Base pay is $46,197 per year plus excellent benefits.

Laterals may be considered as long as they meet the minimum qualifications. The Police Chief will determine salary ($59,904 is the highest lateral entry salary).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- be a U.S. citizen or have permission to work in the United States
- possess a valid driver's license
- be at least 21 years of age
- vision correctable 20/20

Must possess current Colorado POST certification OR be a certified police officer from another state with a provisional Colorado POST certification and willing to obtain full Colorado POST certification.

High school graduate or GED equivalent supplemented by: 60 semester hours from a college or university accredited by the North Central Association or a similar regional accrediting association OR 4 years active military service and 30 semester hours OR 2 years active military service as a military police officer and 30 semester hours OR 2 years relevant law enforcement experience and 30 semester hours OR 4 years relevant law enforcement experience.
